The TWØBAYS team is celebrating another medal haul from the Australian International Beer Awards, after winning a gold medal for ‘No Doubt Stout’ – set for release next week – in addition to three silver medals and one bronze medal.
Our new core range Lager won a silver medal, alongside our Indies gold medal-winning Pale Ale and Taproom release ‘Big Red’ Imperial Red Ale. Our XPA picked up a bronze medal to add to its Indies silver medal in November 2020.
“We are absolutely pumped with all of these medals,” said CEO and founder Richard Jeffares – “especially the gold medal for our new nationwide release No Doubt Stout.”
“These awards are really an indication of the quality and consistency of our beers right across the range, and we’re so grateful to all of the TWØBAYS supporters who continue to explore the world of gluten free craft beer with us.”
“It’s our fans across the country that enable and encourage us to keep improving our beers – and to keep trying new styles and recipes.”
“Kristian and Ajay have taken our beer to the next level as we continue to push boundaries in the world of gluten free craft beer, and they fully deserve these medals.”
“When I was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease in 2015, I never dreamt that six years later I’d own a brewery with an award-winning core range, and a speciality range exploring sours, SMASHs, Imperial Red Ales and Hazy IPAs.”
“Despite the fact Kristian, Ajay and the brew crew take the deserved glory for these medals, our industry requires a ‘team game’, and I thank each member of our brilliant team who strive for excellence in every facet of the business. None of this could be achieved without everyone working hard to get our great beer out to as many places in Australia as possible.”
Despite having only opened our doors two-and-a-half years ago, the team is very proud of our contribution to the rise of gluten free beer in Australia, and our focus on bringing the wonderful world of craft beer to the gluten free community.
And the journey is only just beginning, with some cracking beers and very exciting projects in the pipeline.
Our nine-tap craft beer Taproom enables us to test new beers and experiment with new styles throughout the year – and we get immediate feedback from customers.
"We also acknowledge the fantastic support we have received from the national retailers, independent bottle shops and hospitality venues across the country," added Richard.
"And we're really excited to be getting more and more kegs into pubs so our customers can enjoy a schooner of beer with their friends – not just in cans!"
“We also love the detailed reviews and requests we get online.”
A huge thank you everyone at RASV and all of the judges for making this incredible event happen!
